My armour is
corroded, crusty, dented, torn
I'm trying to rid myself of
( it was needed
it kept me alive
in working closeness to
sane (whatever that means)
but that was then … )
each piece peeled away tears
raw flesh adheres holding
with broken shredded claws on
Shining? Not so much
not prince nor night errant while
charming? Charm is a weapon
to ensnare
to entrap
to destroy
never had much to show
not sorry, and all
